Piece of WTC steel coming to Tucson

A piece of World Trade Center steel is coming to Tucson.

It's a gift from FDNY to Northwest Fire District.

The beam will go on permanent display at Northwest Fire's new training center that is under construction.

The steel is about 26 by 14 inches, and weighs 200 pounds.

The display will honor the 9-11 victims, including the 343 New York City firefighters who died while saving others.

2011 is the ten year anniversary of the World Trade Center bombing.

When the training center opens later this year, Northwest Fire will dedicate the steel during a special ceremony
