a social protest regarding the un-invited First Responders: http://www.facebook.com/groups/153999751348977/

A note to Bloomberg:
I think it's absolutely disgusting that you have not set aside time ON 9/11 for First Responders to attend the 10th year anniversary/memorial. You could at LEAST hold two separate times for attendence - tell NJ and Connecticut to stay home - maybe then you'll have a bit more time to offer the people who didn't need an invitation to RESPOND FIRST. What part of FIRST don't you understand?! Put them FIRST - FIRST to be invited! I'm SO disappointed in you.

Another note:
I am truly saddened by this. My heart aches for members of the FDNY who feel the need to mark the day at the site where so many of their BROTHERS died in the line of duty. This year, unlike any other year, I will not be able to acknowledge the day by standing next to my ex (FDNY) AND the family members of my friends who died. It is such a hard day for me and whatever little comfort I had in the camaraderie of the ceremony is gone. I am disillusioned.

Yet another:
Dear Mayor, I believe the next time there is a terrorist attack, the citys First Responders should watch the attack on a video screen while the politicians attending the 10th Anniversary services, save peoples lives. The First Responders will wait until they are invited to the scene on another date. Those responders deserve our respect and they should be at the site on THAT day. If a second service is in order, then make it happen. Tell the politicians and especially the President to read their blurbs from the park and broadcast it to screens at the site if they must participate. Respectfully, Karen Accurso - voter

And a final:
On Sept. 11, 2011 @ 8:46:26: when Flight 11 crashed into the north face of the North Tower (1 WTC) of the World Trade Center 10 yrs ago, our first responders should be permitted to attend a memorial specifically held for their attendance.

3115. I'm told the actual number of deaths resulting from the September 11tn terrorist attacks is 3115. I'm a medium. I wish someone would take me seriously. There are many voices with much to say.

I think you should include this research in your 10th anniversary presentation:

nearly 2,800 victims
fewer than 300 whole bodies found
fewer than 1,600 victims identified
over 1,100 victims remain unidentified
over 800 victims identified by DNA alone
nearly 20,000 pieces of bodies found
over 6,000 pieces small enough to fit in test-tubes
over 200 pieces matched to single person
nearly 10,000 unidentified pieces frozen for future analysis

Obviously, 3115 only represents the number of deaths specific to that day. Many more (900+) have since resulted over the years due to toxic exposure, etc.

Thank you.
